PAUL grew up in house full of music. Growing up, he played both piano and guitar. He is also the son of Grammy Award winning producer/engineer DON SMITH (Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, U2, Tragically Hip). As a kid he spent countless days in the studio with his dad listening, watching, learning and working. The knowledge gained was priceless. After graduating from UCLA, PAUL got his start at Cello Studios (now EastWest Studios). Soon after, he worked at Capitol Studios from 2005 to 2012. At Capitol Studios PAUL worked with the industry’s best producers including Al Schmitt, Jon Brion, Shawn Everett, Steve Jordan, Joe Chiccarelli, Mike Elizondo, and Matthew Wilder. His diverse set of clients range from Grammy Award winning artists to young up and coming indie artists.
